My wife and I took a trip down memory lane recently by returning to the Bread & Puppet Museum up in Glover, Vermont. We had been regular visitors when the Domestic Resurrection Circus was an annual event over the decades. However, with the end of the annual Circus, we hadn’t visited in ten or fifteen years. The life-size (and much larger!) puppets are true works of art. Anyone visiting Vermont and into subversive political theater owes themselves a visit to this iconic place.

Yes, it is a very special place indeed. Quite haunting actually as it’s in a huge old barn and the puppets seem to lurk in the shadows…
