This garden spider was waiting patiently in her web yesterday morning as the morning sun was just beginning to lift through the trees to the east. Sorry for the cross-post for those of you who visit my East Street Weather Blog, but I really like this shot and wanted to share it.

I’ve always enjoyed your work, but I notice you don’t make courtesy calls back to anyone – reason?

Hi,
Thanks for your comment. I guess I’m just not too savvy about the etiquette here… When someone “likes” one of my photos, I will visit their site and check out what they’re doing, and I’ll usually “like” one of their posts. If someone comments, I always respond. That being said, I realize that there are several bloggers who routinely “like” my photos (such as yourself–and thank you for that…) What’s the protocol?
Thanks,
John

Exactly what you’ve been doing; I suppose my site just doesn’t have what you’re interested in. No problem, I can still enjoy yours.

I appreciate your willingness to keep visiting my site. Thank you! It’s not that I’m not interested in what you’re writing about though… Over the years my interest in things WWI has waxed and waned. I built lots of models as a kid and have read many books about the various battles (my Dad was stuck behind enemy lines in the Bulge. On his 21st birthday no less!) But, you know there are only so many hours in a day…
Cheers,
John
