Going kind of minimalist on you all today. The late afternoon sunlight yesterday created subtle shadows and colors on the fresh snowfall in our front field. This about catches the mood.

Nothing better than freshly fallen snow on a sunny day!

Its my job to remove snow from the school grounds where I work. For 34 years as soon as the first flakes start to fall and accumulate I am out there attacking it with a vengeance, but I always study all its little nuances. The colors, the shadows and the drifting it does like sand dunes.I never pass up looking at snow pictures.I cant wait for the day I retire and can look out my window and laugh at it all.

Thanks for your comment! This weird “non-winter” winter isn’t making it easy for snow photography this year. After yesterday’s rains and record high temperatures, we are down to bare ground… Wherefore art thou my ski season?
