This very friendly chocard let me get quite close on our visit to the Aiguille du Midi above Chamonix!
These fine and delicate alpine flowers—Primula integrifolia—were blooming in a tiny crag. Some of the Aiguilles Rouges tower above.
This scene greeted us on our arrival as we stepped out onto the back deck of our chalet in Chamonix for the first time. The Dôme de Goûter and Aiguille de Bionassay were shrouded in cloud and lit up with sunset alpenglow.
