Powder Smiles

bald-hill-bunch
Smiles all around at the top of Bald Hill yesterday morning.

The posse was in good spirits at the top of Bald Hill yesterday morning as we transitioned for our first run in untracked powder. A perfect day!

Earning your turns

Two skiers decend at Mad River Glen

Having earned their turns, two skiers head down the mountain past the still Single Chair at Mad River Glen yesterday. It was a busy day on the mountain with quite a few people putting on their climbing skins to make the trek to the summit of General Stark Mountain. And it was well worth the effort!

Fresh Tracks

Morning tracks on just-enough-snow

2.5″ of new snow might not seem like a lot, but beggars can’t be choosers. A nearby hay meadow offered just enough coverage and pitch to make for a fun morning of earning turns!

Good morning

My ski buddy, Tom, takes in the view south and west of the Huntington River Valley from atop Bald Hill. A gorgeous morning for a bit of turn-earning.
